great, tremendous, enormous news.
so i'm hanging out with beej, feeling really blah. I'd just unloaded a floatload of hay & picked thru the mould - fuckers got rained on in that big storm we had at the start of feb & i never noticed! i spread it around his paddock & did a variety of other chores.
i was also shitty at a friend of mine who cancelled to come visit. again. YET again, rather. not pissed that she cancelled so much as CANCELLED AGAIN. i even said to jed this morning that i wondered if she'd actually make it to my house.
anyway.
so i'm hanging out & then went and chucked on his bridle & my helmet. mounted up via the tray of my truck (very ladylike, haha). rode over to kelli, who was mounting up on guinness (bareback/halter) and asked if she was riding in the arena. No. She was going out the back.
SO BEEJ AND I WENT TOO.
OMFG, first time riding off the property in a year and OMFG bareback and fuck me, what a great horse i've got! he was a LITTLE antsy (as i would expect from a t'bred) and i had to half halt him every now and then to get him to come back to me ("vacant eyes", as kelli observed). Kelli rode with her mouth open the whole way - she was totally surprised we joined her!
anyway, it was SO good and so not stressful for him. he had a moment when guinness had a slight lala and he decided to as well as kelli's dog Elroy came racing up behind us, but it was so good in that he came RIGHT back and didn't visit beejyland AT ALL.
anyway. it was GREAT. i am so proud, of both my wonderful horse and myself, for suddenly growing balls!
