Well, the energy I was riding before, played itself out before Christmas arrived, so I had to push through to finish everything before my three children and future son-in-law arrived. But because I had got so much done earlier, it was a very nice holiday.
We also finally got a few touches of winter weather around here. It comes and goes. If only I never had to drive on slick roads, I'd be happy. This Christmas, Mike got me some leg warmers and wrist warmers. I've been wearing the leg warmers every cold day, and what a huge difference that makes. My ankles used to get so cold, but now I'm comfortable in a range of temperatures. The wrist warmers I wear at home on chilly nights. And actually this winter has been quite mild around here so far; if we get "real" winter I'll begin to wonder how I ever lived without them! (Answer: I complained a lot!)
Yesterday Mike and I went to see the movie "Concussion," about the brain damage that many American football players have been accumulating through their careers from countless blows to the head. It's an excellent movie. I wished there had been a bit more of the medical science in it, but that's the way I my tastes run -- they did put in just enough in to explain things.
And as I was typing, we went from breezy, to rainy, to sunny.
I hope you all are having a good new year. Blessings! Now I'm off to catch up...
