Got a rug done for the kitchen-to-outside door, done in psuedo-batiked cotton fabric strips I got at JoAnns. I really ought to get a picture of that - I like the colors on it a lot. Another spot of color in my otherwise white kitchen.

Got some more work done on the motifs rug for the bathroom too. I started that one last year some time, for the other house, then realized I really was moving and ought to wait and see what size and shape the bathroom floor in the new house would be before piecing it all together. I think I need to make about 4 more motifs, then join them all. This one's cream and powder blue dishcloth cotton yarn. I'll probably join it with some faded/powder red-violet I've got around somewhere.

I even did a scarf, a hat and one and a half washcloths during an all-day staff meeting a week or so ago. The scarf was a big open-work fuzzy thing that took maybe two hours. I gave it away to the teacher sitting next to me because I know she likes this sort of scarf and she'd already admired the colors as I was working on it. It looks great on her. The hat was a lovely mottled blue/green/yellowish green from a wool I'd bought at Farmer's Market a few weeks ago. The label even has the sheep's name on it. Thank you, Alice! It's a peaky sort of thing. It looks great on the Boyfriend, but unfortunately he doesn't really wear hats. He did indulge me by wearing it for a while as we watched TV this weekend. I wore it when we went back to Farmer's Market yesterday, and even showed it off to the folks at the booth where I'd bought the yarn. And of course I bought more yarn - more of Alice's fleece, in fact! This time it's a steady purple. I'm not sure yet what it'll be. Maybe a hat with a longer point to it, and maybe earflaps. I dunno.

And I'm pleased to have discovered that yet again, I'm an idiot and no, in fact, they did *not* stop making the color I ran out of for the Big Round Cotton Blanket. When I was in the different shops, I kept thinking I was looking for something purpler than I actually had. I finally took a wad of leftover yarn into a shop with me (I didn't have any labels left to stuff in my purse for impulse trips to the yarn shops, and I kept not remembering to take the little ball of yarn I had left). I was right about one thing - JoAnns doesn't carry it, but another place closer to the house does. I should be able to finish the blanket by New Year's, depending on how many baby projects I start.

Which brings me to a small dilemma. A cousin and his family are coming to visit for Thanksgiving. They're from back east. I don't really correspond with them because I'm lazy and they have two small children and a life. I'd kind of like to make something for the kids (3-ish and almost 1-ish). On the other hand, I could easily finish the Big Round Cotton Blanket and possibly even The Sparkly Ugly Blanket by Christmas if I just work on them and don't start any major new projects. Which of course isn't very likely because I'm getting the urge to start working on the Barbie Clothes modified to be dildo cozies, for next year's Naughty Knitting & Kinky Crochet Fundraiser. Argh. So many projects I want to do, and I don't work nearly quickly enough to be happy about my progress.
