Alright, this isn't too bad, all things considered. Sure, I'm ticked that I didn't get a say in getting dragged here, but I've been planning to take a trip out of Veldime, anyways. Could have done without the fake mom thing, though; pretty creepy, even if she's less crazy than Mom.
So, we're supposed to be partners and travel the countryside, picking fights, huh?
[ In response, this pops out of the top of his hair, apparently having taken refuge in the first thing it saw resembling a bird's nest after leaving its Pokeball. The bird answers with an affirmative chirp. ]
Well, so long as it's all in harmless fun. It's been a while since I've had an adventure like that. It's to help you out, too, right? There's nothing wrong with getting stronger, so I don't mind helping out. [ Chirp! ] Besides, it'll be a nice change of pace, that's for sure. And, hey, who knows? Maybe I'll find a good enough gift for her while I'm here.
[ A series of enthusiastic chirps comes from the orange chicken head sticking out of his hair in response. He strikes a pose, fist in the air and tie waving dramatically regardless of whether there is any wind or not. ]
Okay, then! It's decided--not that there was any question. I don't turn down a challenge of any kind! I don't turn away someone asking for my help! And I definitely won't rest until I've found the perfect gift for her! There's nothing that'll get in our way to stop us, got it?
