Personality: Adell is a family man that adheres to a set of simple values with an ironclad will. He will do anything and everything within his power to protect his family--his adoptive parents, siblings, and his girlfriend Rozalin--regardless of what it may take and he will uphold any and all promises of any importance even if it means risking his life. The reason behind the former is simply the love he has for his family and the reason for the latter is due to being spiteful towards his biological parents for having left him at a young age, promising to come back and never doing so.
While he may deny it, Adell is a fight-o-holic. He gets giddy and excited over the prospect of challenging fights--and the more challenging they appear, the more excited he gets; he repeatedly denied enjoying fighting, saying he was only doing it to become strong enough to save his family, but it's pretty obvious he enjoys it despite thinking himself above it. The reason behind his love for fighting is very likely to be the fact he is a demon, despite having been raised by his adoptive family to believe he is human.
Unlike most other hot-blooded protagonists that stick to simple beliefs like love, protecting the weak, and keeping promises, Adell is actually very intelligent--he manages to solve an incredibly complicated puzzle that left everyone else dumbfounded within the span of only a few seconds. The reason why he generally chooses to go into fights with little planning and relying on skill and determination is not because he can't plan, but because he finds that way of doing things more stylish.
Due to some childhood trauma at the hands of a soul-hungry Succubus (which is the source of the scars on both his cheeks), Adell has a fear of coming into contact with women. This fear is irrelevant in regards to Rozalin, his mom, or his sister, but with any other female (especially if they're trying to flirt or are particularly attractive), he will seize up and freak out.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
STRENGTHS
-> AN INDOMITABLE WILL! No matter how hard he's beaten down or what people may say to him, he will always stand back up and keep moving forward. He does not give up, period.
-> UNWAVERING HONOR! He will adhere to any and all promises he makes, even if it means fighting fights he cannot possibly win, running head-first into danger, or risking life and limb time and time again.
-> ABSOLUTE FAITH! Adell will never doubt or lose faith in anyone he loves, whether it be his family or his friends; even if they have betrayed him before, he will firmly believe in them still.
WEAKNESSES
-> SCARED OF GIRLS! Adell has a fear of women--specifically close contact--resulting from childhood trauma; although he seems to have gotten over this in regards to Rozalin, it's still there in regards to anyone else.
-> KIND OF A BUTTMONKEY! Due to having a firm grasp of reality in a setting that gives reality the middle finger, he tends to be the straightman and target of various gags; the fact he lets these happen and allows people to take some advantage of him doesn't help prevent this.
-> SERIOUSLY TOO HEROIC! He takes protecting his family and keeping promises so seriously, that if he were unable to do so--especially in regards to the safety of someone he cares about--he could very well fall into a depression and self-loathing he cannot get out of; this is evidenced by the Bad Endings of Disgaea 2, where he fails to save Rozalin and goes insane, killing everyone.

[ There is the horrifying sound of...squealing girls? The entirety of the Goldenrod Gym, smitten with Adell's fiery, brazen, compassionate, and cool style, are determined to find and smother him.
He makes a run for it. ]
Get these crazy women away from me!! Why is there even a gym with only girls in it, anyway?! I almost don't feel bad anymore for making their leader cry!
--WHAT?! HOW IS SHE CATCHING UP TO ME?! I'm not going to make it. Please, if anyone is listening, tell my Pokemon they're awesome, tell Rozalin I love her, and tell Axel that I think he's annoyiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!
AOIUGIOGUHDGHDGHDH!!
[ Adell screams like a small girl as the swarm of young women catch up to him and pounce him to the ground. The last thing you can see of him is a pale face of fear and foam spewing forth from his mouth. ]
Third Person Sample: The Gym Leader had his final Pokemon launch its strongest attack against Adell's own final Pokemon--Blaziken--expecting a simple victory against the elementally-inferior chicken. The Leader even gloated at Adell, praising his determination while chastising his lack of foresight as a result of his hot-blooded attitude.
Instead of being shocked by imminent defeat in a supreme, super-effective attack or futilely telling the slower Blaziken to dodge it at the last second, Adell simply smiled. "Endure." Blaziken braced itself and took the attack full-on, leaving itself severely bruised and battered but still standing with a look of determination mirroring its Trainers.
Before the Leader could shake his head at a sad attempt to prolong the battle by one more turn, Blaziken disappeared from sight; it returned with an immensely powerful and fast Blaze Kick to the opponent's Pokemon, knocking it out in one hit. As the Leader watched his last Pokemon fall against an opponent that was outmatched in both elemental typing and speed.
"It's pretty obvious you had an edge against Blaziken, but the point of being a Trainer is to help cover a Pokemon's weaknesses, right? So, that's all I did. Endure let him survive the attack, which let him chow down on the Salac Berry he carried. The Berry maximized his speed and his lower health made his Blaze skill activate, which made his fire attacks powerful enough to take yours out in one hit and fast enough that there was no way you'd be able to dodge it."
Adell grinned and held his fist in front of his face; his Blaziken copied the pose. Despite being inside, his tie fluttered dramatically as though there were a breeze. "You shouldn't assume people are dumb just because they like to go all-out head-first. It's not all I know, it's how I prefer to do things. It's just my style."
