Cody's sister received a particular DVD boxed set for Christmas. This DVD boxed set was the first season of "How I Met Your Mother." She wanted us to watch a few episodes the night before we all were to drive back from D.C. to Waltham (she's come up to visit for New Year's). I had never heard of this show before, and was fairly skeptical because of the title.
I was very wrong.
This is, quite possibly, one of the best shows ever. It's a "sitcom" in a vague sense of the word, but in reality, it's just a great show. I highly, highly recommend it. It's hysterically funny, tremendously touching, and utterly heartbreaking all at the same time. It's just beautifully done.
On that note, check out this song. I just stumbled across it accidentally. It's fantastic. I'm an instant fan.
