Having just spent time with C & her family in Nashville.

Being back with the puppy who wanted to play when I got home.

I no longer have a really dumb song stuck...oh, now that I thought about it, "Shining Star for you to see" is back.

Damn.

Why, oh, why do I have to periodically go look at all the sweet little puppies that want met adopt them over on the SPCA page? There's a spaniel on there! Spaniels are my ultimate doggie weakness. And puppies that look like Bosco, aka, E's soulmate dog. I really think Sienna girl needs a sibling.

Stopped by the new house on Friday and there was a new crate on the porch!!! So the correct window has finally been delivered; now we just need to get on the contractor's schedule to have it installed.

Also, we have survived another MG. And I successfully stopped Sienna from eating both garbage and vomit yesterday.

In celebration of the cooler weather, Miss Sienna lost her mind last night. She galloped up and down the length of the house with her orange kitty (stuffed toy) in her mouth; she is almost 10. Yes, I know our dog is cute. Yes, I know she acts like we NEVER feed her. But please quit giving her bones. She just throws up all over the house (in the middle of the night) when you do.

Although it is just shy of three weeks, Sienna decided her leg was well enough to jump off the porch. This is why the puppies must stay kenneled for 8 weeks. She landed on the leg, but not hard and it didn't seem to bother her. LEM on the other hand had a heart attack.

I feel like we are raising veal. Sienna had her surgery 3 weeks ago today. She's doing really well, but has decided she likes lazing in her cage so much that she doesn't want to leave, even to pee. We have to lure her out with treats. She went out once yesterday at 6 p.m. and all she did was #1. So when she started crying this morning at 6 a.m ( Read more... )

It's all our fault...the whole pet food recall thing.

We have never fed any of our pets wet food. A week and a half after Sienna has canned food added to her diet, pets die. Of course, the cans we bought were part of the recall. Sienna had already eaten all of two cans and part of a third. She seems fine. So we just carry the curse.

Sienna is doing really well. She is adjusting to life in jail and is very happy to be getting a little canned food with her dry. Sunday was hard because she could hear/smell the neighborhood dogs playing outside. And here's a photo of her wearing my scarf from the night of Muses, I think.
