ac woes
It is currently over 90 in my house. We're having the a/c worked on and I thought it was going to be partially running tonight. Guess not. I'm holed up in the one room with a window unit.
If I could think about putting real clothes on, I would go to the movies, but right now I'm just too hot. -

Recently, I have been coveting more Icon shoes; it is unfortunate that they mostly retail for between $200-$400. Lucky that I have baby feet and can often get them at seriously reduced prices. My stash will soon grow by 2 for a whopping 6 fancy pairs of shoes. I can't wait for them to come in. Thanks ebay express ( Read more... ) -

We spent our first night in the new house last night. But not in the master bedroom because when we went to assemble our new bed, a major piece seemed to be missing. E will pick it up today, so maybe I should figure out a temporary curtain for the bedroom window so I won't flash the new neighbors ( Read more... ) -

Stopped by the new house on Friday and there was a new crate on the porch!!! So the correct window has finally been delivered; now we just need to get on the contractor's schedule to have it installed.
Also, we have survived another MG. And I successfully stopped Sienna from eating both garbage and vomit yesterday. -
what's that I see?
I dropped the last of the Christmas stuff off at the new house this morning and what was resting on the side porch? A different window!!! This means that maybe I will be moving by the end of this month. Unbelievable ( Read more... ) -
one last storm meltdown
One of the worst things in dealing with the storm recover for me, was dealing with the property loss division of my mortgage company. Everytime I called them, I would deal with someone unpleasant or ignorant. And I would be on hold for hours, disconnected, or transferred ad infinitum. As a consequence, I quit dealing with them. Housing update
So another delay with the new house...
To recap for those who were otherwise engaged:- LEM closed on the house in September
- September & October saw improvements happen to the HVAC system, the roof, the trees and some windows
Windows...- New energy efficient windows replaced existing windows that were in poor repair
