I love this time of year, the dark and ominous clouds, the rain fall, the cold breeze blowing from the ocean. Ah, the ocean, with it thunder and dark secrets pounding on the shore. A true thing of power. Soon I will be crashing out, hoping to grab what precious sleep I can before I go to my orientation and begin the process of the liquid diet. It is time. Too long have I wallowed in this pool, it is time to leave it. It will require a lot of will and support and I am lucky in that I have a great group of friends and familiy that can provide that support.
Here in a couple of weeks, Mike and I are goin to Vegas. At first it was just a road trip to wherever, but somehow, I don't recall if it was Mike or I, Vegas was mentioned and it now seems to be a focus point. I think Mike is more excited about it than I am, making plans to visit friends and see sights. It was, to me at least, not about just getting out of San Diego and away from the bullshit here, but for...a reorginization of thoughts and a focus of emotion. I must change, and to do that I need change, not only in mind, but in outlook, and at least for a time, short as it will be, environ. Following this mandate, I will also be looking for another job. I don't know where or to what, but probably within the dispatching field, or something that will allow for my skills I have gained here to be transfered. It will be a sad change, for this job has allowed me to work for some of the coolest bosses one could have, people that actually care about the employees and not just the bottom line. But I have noticed a comfort growing, and for me that gets dangerous.
And now on to a more light subject. Mike somehow found this sight, and I don't wanna know how or why, and I must say that it is quite disturbing. The URL is:

Well I suppose that does it for today, I must prepare to leave and head home in this awesome weather....which has spawned another thought, last year around this time it was raging fires, and this year massive rain....what comes next?
