My thoughts, without spoilers:
It was masterful. Sports movies can be tough to pull off in a way that doesn't make me queasy (and I say that as a die-hard fan of Hoosiers) and Aronofsky nailed it.
The soundtrack was terrible. It was perfect.
It struck the absolutely perfect atmospheric note. Anyone familiar with the blue-collar Northeast will recognize the landscape.
Marisa Tomei has no business having such fantastic breasts at her age. Bitch.
Also, the end takes place in Wilmington, DE. Heh. The only actual Delawarey footage is a 30 second shot of Mickey's character going over the bridge with the lovely industrial wasteland by the river in the distance. The Wrestler and Fight Club: there could be worse movies set in Delaware.
