It may sound strange to admit that there are times I'm so busy and so preoccupied with "important things" that I forget that I'm alive.

Has this ever happened to you?

How do you wake up?  What makes you stop and remember?  What makes you value the moment?

Colds.
Splinters.
Paper cuts.
Illness.
Needles.
Pain.

Why are we so quick to dismiss the importance of quiet and solitude?  The only thing I can think is that it's fear.  Fear of actually hearing ourselves or something greater ( Read more... )

When you take the road less traveled, people admire you.  They support you.  Applaud you, and sometimes even wish they were you, because
"you have so much courage".  The real friends help you in anyway that they can to get on that road.
