I learned in life that there were far more strange creatures and things around than any sailor's tale had told.
Of course, the most foreign creature of all was the one I found deep inside myself. There I discovered a reckless monster with no conscience or moral restraint when it got the chance to plunder the most precious treasure of the seven seas.
Anyway, I never believed in any doom-saying.
Except one thing, of course.
Jack was right when he swore it would be no superstition, but bad luck indeed to engage in certain... activities... without some kind of oil.
