Er, why has this show been cancelled? You can explain it to me in big words if you want. I'm a fairly intelligent human being, honest.

I've just watched the pilot of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip on More4. I liked it. Which makes me ever so slightly sad because the show has already been cancelled in the States.

I like Matthew Perry. I like Bradley Whitford. I love them together and this clip made me laugh foolishly.

For the Life on Mars watchers on my flist, the BBC has announced that Keeley Hawes will play opposite Philip Glenister in the Ashes to Ashes sequel.

I have mixed feelings about this one because while I think she can play a character that could hold her own against Gene Hunt, she also has a tendency to be very serious and lacking in a sense of humour ( Read more... )

Continuing with the SM:TV retrospective and my own personal Ant and Dec lovefest, I defy anyone to watch these clips and not laugh. Even the people in the sketch are laughing - Anthony Head and Jonathan Wilkes lose it a couple of times. And remember, folks, this was part of a kids TV show!

Loved tonight's episode of Doctor Who. I think it might be the best one of the third series so far and the Doctor himself wasn't actually in it that much! Tonight's ep, Blink, was written by Steven Moffatt, the same guy that wrote The Empty Child, my favourite DW episode.

Next week brings the much anticipated return of Captain Jack. Bring it on!

I am never buying non-waterproof mascara again. Ever. Halfway through this ep, the window cleaner knocked on the door and when I went to pay him, he gave me some very peculiar looks. A quick glance in the mirror as I was returning to my screenful of Winchester angst confirmed, yes, mascara tracks all over my cheeks. Excellent.

So, the trip on the Yorkshire Wheel has been and gone. Turns out the mother was in near pee-her-pants mode but because the darn thing terrified her! The pods are very much smaller than those on the London Eye. These ones are basically enclosed glass capsules with a bench on either side that each seat four people. And the capsule rocks.
