Family Reunion
So, tonight was actually a great night.
Dan is home until Thursday for the first time since January, and while I saw him in Nashville in early October, its always great when your best friend comes home.
But it wasn't just that, Mary is finally home after two year in Peace Corps in Mauritania, and so her and my sister joined us. I think Sarah and I did ok. Which was nice, I do miss my sister, but it is going to take a lot of work to make that whole thing alright again.
Its kind of amazing. The four of us haven't been in a room together in over a year since Mary visited America in May of 06 and yet, it was like we were together yesterday. I can't write of any really interesting anecdotes shared, or great burns, but it was still a good just being in the same room with friends that I've shared so much history with. I really do think that I'm lucky to have as strong a group of "home friends" as I do because, while everything is changing, I never have to worry too much because there are about six other people that I will always be able to relate to.
