I need a Dean Winchester icon for that subject line. Anybody got a saucy one for me?
Anyway, as is my grand tradition when I actually finish something, I like to share the music that I listened to while I was working on the rough draft. Music is incredibly important to me in the context of a creative tool, as it is to most of my characters, and I literally have a hard time getting a story clear in my head if there isn’t a mix to go along with it, or at least one iconic song or band. It’s sad, really. The music on this list was a mix of Dee’s taste, Vincent’s taste, mood-evokers, specific moments of story and stuff I thought just sounded cool.
The Journey is totally Dee’s fault.
Death Wish Mix
- Cheap Trick - Surrender
- Journey - Wheel in the Sky
- Allman Bros. Band - Midnight Rider
- Joan Jett - Do You Wanna Touch
- Johnny Cash - Delia’s Gone
- Ozzy Osbourne - Flying High Again (Live)
- Bob Dylan - A Hard Rain’s A-gonna Fall
- The Misfits - Dig Up Her Bones
- Patsy Cline - Walking After Midnight
- Cream - Crossroads
- Donovan - Season of the Witch
- Styx - Renegade
- Rob Zombie - Dragula (Original Mix)
- AC/DC - Hell’s Bells
- Kansas - Carry On, Wayward Son
There you have it-American rock, a dash of metal, some old sad-bastard country and some angry gawthabilly music for Vincent’s emo little self.
