Paul Hamm Withdraws from US Olympic Team

I am so, SO disappointed for him. His return to competition has been very exciting, and even more recently he seemed to be dealing well with the injury. It was a nasty shock to read this. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

The US named their mens' gymnastics team today for the Olympics. My feelings are...mixed. Pleased -though not surprised- for the Hamm twins, but gutted for Raj Bhavsar and Sasha Artemev.

Now that we're getting close to the summer Olympics, it's time for me to obsess about my second favorite sport- artistic gymnastics.

Mens' US Nationals is under way right now, and I let out a resounding "BLOODYFUCKINGHELL!!!!1!" today when I found out my favorite, Paul Hamm, broke a bone in his hand during prelims (which he kicked ass in, btw). ( Read more... )
