Damn joints...

I finally convinced myself to try a 1K on the erg this morning. I did pretty well...a 2:02.9 spit! I think it was the copious amount of jelly bellies I ate after I got home last night (at 11:30pm). Then I did an easier 10 min, followed by 10 min that I was able to maintain at 2:09.3...which dropped to 2:09.1 when I maxed myself out for the last minute. Go jelly bellies! :-)

Of course, it can't be all good. During my warm up, my wrist sorta popped out of joint, the way my knees like to do...and while it was fine for all of my workout, now it's aching. Which sucks because I'm teasing nerves again today...which involves a lot of fine wrist movements. Grumble.

On the health up-side, I seem to have...knock on wood...solved another health issue. For some reason, I've been sweating like crazy since I started back at the gym several weeks ago. By which I mean that I was getting giant wet spots under my arms that were really really obvious and really really embarassing (and potentially ruining all of my light colored shirts). I thought it might have to do with the combo of drinking a lot of water at the gym followed by coffee, but then I noticed it was happening on days I didn't go to the gym and days I didn't have coffee, and days when I did/had neither. And then I noticed Secret has just put out a "prescription strength" product and I decided to give it a try. It says to use it at night before bed...which I thought might be a problem, since I shower after my workout in the morning. But it seems to be working. Yay! I no longer bare a striking resemblance to an overweight forty-year-old man. I'm seriously still WTF about the whole issue, though. I never sweat like that before when I was going to the gym and drinking coffee.

And because I haven't posted anything Heroes related for a while, and this is very silly and needs to be shared: Corporate promotion used for the forces of...well, evil.
