Long time no blog!
I just realized that it's been almost a week since I sat down and actually wrote something here. I've just been busy, and the days have been flying by. Work is going extremely well, I started the CWS/CMS training course today, which was really great. I got to work at 7:30 (comp time = good), got my county car, and drove to Orland. The class is good, but weird. I'm the lowest ranking person in the class, and yet it seems like I'm the person most familiar with the system. There's a senior social worker from Shasta County (he's a new hire, but his Master's degree and experience make him qualified to be a supervisor), a new social worker from Butte, and three interns who are in the Master's program at Chico state.
So anyway, I took the morning off last Monday for the PG&E appointment, and have been taking half hour lunches since to make it up in comp time. I'm coming in early in the morning now as well, and I'm taking off next Monday at 3:30 to take Serra to her Dr. appointment. So by the end of the pay period I will have made it all up and won't lose any money. That rocks.
I got back from Orland just at 5, turned in the car keys, and bailed. I picked up the kids from Deana's, and then went to the polling place to vote. Yay for voting! And stuff. The kids are fed, I'm about to be fed, and then I'm crawling into bed. I'll have class tomorrow and Thursday, and again next week on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Ok. Tired, going to go eat and crash. Maybe one of these days I'll start having a life again, lately I've been too broke and too tired to do anything.
