Lolita Blog Carnival is a group of online lolitas who get together and decide on a different topic to blog about each week. Then on Fridays we each post on our separate blogs and link to everyone else's posts about the same topic. I think it's neat because you get to know the different points of view and ideas of everyone in the group. So if you're a lolita with a blog, and you would like to get more ideas on what to write about, go join Lolita Blog Carnival on
Facebook!
Since it's already 2015, this week's challenge is about looking back at 2014 and reflecting on how I've changed in lolita.
I didn't see a huge change in my aesthetic when it comes to coordinating outfits, although I did see myself leaning more and more towards OTT Classic coords. I still like wearing all the substyles and trying different things, but I feel like OTT Classic is the easiest for me to pull off. Maybe I'm getting old and I want to try more mature looks?
I also got really brave this past year and started attending meetups (Finally! After lurking in the online community for 4 years. lol)! I attended a couple casual meets and a couple of larger tea parties. One of them for Halloween. The other for Winter International Lolita Day. It was the first time that I was able to celebrate ILD and it was so much fun and OMG there were so many lolitas there! I've always been very introverted, so I thought I wouldn't fit in at meets, but I've been doing great. I hope I can make it to the next ILD tea party that is being planned for June.
2014 was a very productive year for me and I'm hoping that 2015 will be as well.
How have your lolita style changed this past year?
