Lolita Blog Carnival: My Favorite Event From 2014
Lolita Blog Carnival is a group of online lolitas who get together and decide on a different topic to blog about each week. Then on Fridays we each post on our separate blogs and link to everyone else's posts about the same topic. I think it's neat because you get to know the different points of view and ideas of everyone in the group. This week I looked back at the lolita events that I attended in 2014. 2014 was the year of the meetups for me. I finally got brave and started attending meets. I am so glad that I decided to take this leap. I've already met so many wonderful frilly people!
By far the best one of the events that I attended in 2014 was the Winter International Lolita Day tea party at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort in Orlando. The event was a statewide event hosted by Dream Fantasy Theatre, a local lolita organization hosted by some of the lolitas in my local community.The venue was magical and so many lolitas attended not only from Florida, but statewide.
It was a weekend-long event, but unfortunately I was only able to attend the tea party because I had to work the day after and I'm a poor nursing student and can't afford to stay at a Disney resort. lol Hopefully that'll change next year when I get my RN.
There will be another tea party event this coming Summer International Lolita Day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed to see if I can attend. I saw a sneak peak of the venue and it's amazing!
