It is pretty great in some ways -- the deadlines, the restrictions and the quick prompt-to-idea-to-ficlet progression in this Battle were especially helpful -- but I'm also not used to just tossing out stories without thinking them over a lot and poring over details, and I'm not always able to write something for a prompt like you seem to be able to do (*g*), so that's tough. But, yay working on your Big Bang!

And, yay, thank you. I love the idea that John wants but won't let himself have male companionship on Atlantis, where it's a choice between Rodney, who, despite my love for McKay/Sheppard fic, I have trouble seeing with him, and the soldiers serving under him, which just won't happen, so it was cool to think that here, where he doesn't know anyone and won't be coming back, he might take a chance, especially when he suspects the other guy is a sure thing. And Wilson -- totally repressed. Gay sex is definitely not on the list of things smart, respectable young department heads do (says society and the people who raised him), so of course it's not that he doesn't do it, it's just that he hardly ever lets himself, and has to keep it a secret.

Yay for not-cancer sex! Hot and fast and almost anonymous. My favorite part (other than, you know, the SEX) was Wilson having to apologize again for being inappropriate in front of a patient. Mortifying for him! Hee, hee, hee.

Other things I especially liked:
- The biceps of wonder. *sigh*
- John holding Wilson in place so effortlessly. Because, hell yeah, Sheppard is way stronger than Wilson.
- Wilson curling forward as he orgasmed
- Wilson stroking John's hair as he orgasmed
