Read-a-thon update

Apr 10, 2010 21:07

So, I'm slightly past midpoint--the clock is chiming on the beginning of my 13th hour.
Here is my midpoint survey:

1. What are you reading right now?  This Rough Magic by Mary Stewart (pg 82)

2. How many books have you read so far?  finished Brideshead Revisited (about 80 pgs); finished Orchids on Your Budget (about 35 pages);  read Moneypenny Diaries:  Secret Servant (300-ish pages)

3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?  Moneypenny Diaries:  The Final Fling by Kate Westbrook

4. Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day?  bought snackies and told my housemate to respect the reading.  Also, buried my cell phone.

5. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?  Yup, housemate still wants to chat a bit.  It's not too bad.  Landlord has been over.  Lost a little time when housemate and I decided to pack a mini-picnic and head to the park.

6. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?  Exactly how much I'm enjoying it.

7. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? It's already pretty awesome!

8. What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year?  Next year I'll plan things out a bit better, because I only found out about this last week.  And I confess I'm feeling pretty guilty about all the work I need to be doing right now.

9. Are you getting tired yet?  maybe a little.  Time to brew a fresh pot of tea!

10. Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered? Don't really have any tips, but I would like to express my sincere thanks for my cheerleaders.  You've really been making me smile
