Does anyone else feel like meds make them lose their creative fuel or their intelligence? For the fifth time today I refused meds to my doctor. When I compare my school work from off and on meds the difference is clear. Is this a common phenomenon?

So does anyone have any experience with ginkgo biloba or any other supplement that's supposed to help with your memory? My memory is crap now because of some medications I HAVE to take so I need something to help me keep focused and remember the things I'm reading/studying.

Okay, I posted a day or two ago, in the midst of a manic episode. Anyway, my doc gave me script for Larazapam (sic) and now I'm seriously stoned out of my gourd. She said it would make me sleepy and take away the manic feeling but she didn't mention the stoned-ness. 
Anybody else ever feel like this?
