has anyone else had experience with your parents just not believing there's anything wrong?

i'm undiagnosed, but i swear to god if it turns out i'm not bipolar i'll either die of shock, or kill myself, because it'd mean i'm an absolute mess of a person for absolutely no reason and there is no hope of ever being a fully operational human being.

ME TOO. ME TOO.
Except I cut up my cuticles (so people will think I just have bad nails).

It's not just my parents. It's some of my friends who don't believe me.
They call me crazy, I'm stupid, I'm this, I'm that. My favorite is "batshit insane."

The girl who called me "batshit insane"? Her nephew is autistic (I also have asperger's syndrome). I asked her how she would feel if I said "Oh, no, he's just batshit insane, THAT'S why he can't do this or that."

Yeah, she told me that was diffffferent. No it's NOT bitch! God, seriously.
well, what else can I expect from a bitch? Nothing.

My dad is in denial with everything. He's a DOCTOR too. I guess it's different with your children, but COME ON. I have a daughter myself, and there's no way I could ever just brush anything away like "No, you're just dreaming..." People sometimes *do* embellish or just outright lie at times, but if they are saying something serious, the WORST thing you can do is brush it off, GRRRR.

Thank God I have my husband, daughter, siblings, sis in law and (2) best friend(s). I don't know what I'd do without them, really. I'd probably kill myself.
