My friend Chris used to live here in the US but now she is back in her beloved Brazil, working for the mayor's office.  That would be the mayor of the city of Rio de Janeiro.  And Chris has been working on tourism publications in regards to Carnival and such, and I've been helping her straighten out her English on some of these things.

Yesterday, we went snowboarding with a few other JETs in Ueda. When I stood in the trees off the sides of the trails, the snow was above my waist!
