Part 21.
Title: Take Me To Your Heart, Feel Me In Your Bones.

That whole... capturing thing?
Oh, he knows.
Sees the way a smile sneaks across her lips; sees the way she looks at him-- like nobody else ever does (or could).
He is smiling and she is smiling and they are them again. And maybe it won't last and maybe they'll go back to being somethingbutnotquiteenough to each other... but the fact that, for a moment, they were them again?
He finds meaning (and hope) in that.
“Bones, come on. You need to eat something.”
She tilts her head up; scowls at him and he laughs.
If they aren't completely back yet, at least they're heading in the right direction.
Afterall, having a piece of her?
Well, that's better than no Bones at all.
And maybe he'll just have to settle with second best (for now, anyway).
But in time?
He'll convince her.
Teach her that, that somethingbutnotquiteenough can, so easily, become everything.
