(Fellow amatomnes players looking for Egypt's specific info post, please head over this way. This post is a combination of the aforementioned page and the game application I wrote.)
» NAME: Egypt (Gupta Muhammad Hassan)
» FANDOM: Axis Powers Hetalia

» CANON POINT: Present-day, early 2010. (Before February 13)
» AGE: Actual age debatable/unknown since Egypt is such an old country. His age in appearance is unknown as well. Looks to be about... 27? (Same as Greece's stated appearance, another old country). Seems to be in that same mental age range, too.
» GENDER: Male (mental and physical)
» ORIENTATION: Hetalia's creator, Hidekaz Himaruya, hasn't confirmed the sexuality of many of the characters, Gupta included. Being mostly a comedy, the series doesn't deal with a whole lot of romantic or sexual themes, none of which involve Gupta, either. Sticking solely to canon, one can say his orientation is "unknown". Regardless of orientation, Gupta appears to be a conservative type of person. His sexuality and romantic relations would be private matters he wouldn't openly share or discuss with others, if given the choice.
» COLLAR: Black leather, 1" wide, with a gold engraving of Egypt's coat of arms in the center. (Note: His collar is rarely visible, deliberately covered up by the dark scarf he wears around his neck.)
» APPEARANCE: 5'8"/173cm (estimate; average height for male Egyptians). Tanned skin, brown eyes, and short, black hair that's usually hidden under a white keffiyeh (head scarf). As casual attire, he wears long, flowing white robes. His work uniform resembles those worn by the Egyptian military during World War II. It's light brown in color and consists of a short-sleeved shirt, dark brown belt, trousers (with white bandages wrapped tightly around his lower legs), and dark brown boots. (image here)
» PERSONALITY: At first glance, Gupta can be described with one word: mysterious. He's a quiet one, for sure. In his only, brief appearance in the Hetalia anime, Gupta doesn't utter a single word. It seems like the only time you can see him talking is if he's trying to do business, like when he tried to sell a pot to France in one of the comic strips. Ask him to smile on the spot, and he won't be able to do it -- not without that smile looking awkwardly forced, at least. Since he speaks so little and usually wears a straight face, it's difficult to understand how Gupta really feels or what he's thinking. Does his silence convey boredom? Is he shy? Does that intense stare mean he's judging your every move?
Spend a bit more time with Gupta, and you'll see that he's an overall good guy. Behind the reserved exterior is a friendly attitude, honest intentions, and a person you can trust. His tendency of staring when you talk? Don't worry about it, he's merely paying attention to what you're saying. More of a listener than a speaker, that eye contact lets others know they have his undivided attention. Those that stick around long enough will discover that, yes, Gupta can speak, and he does so in a very subdued, gentle tone. Most of the time he uses a combination of body language, emotive noises, and short phrases when absolutely necessary.
Gupta is also very family-oriented, a trait inherited from his mother. (In Ancient Egypt, all children, male or female, were highly valued and considered a blessing from the gods.) For him, close bonds are more important than material values. Another thing important to him is the rich culture and longstanding history of his nation. Egypt has been conquered by various other empires in the past (i.e. Rome, the Ottoman Empire, Britain), but it's always been able to preserve its unique identity and way of life despite this.
Himaruya has indicated that one of Gupta's less appealing traits is his stubbornness. This can most likely be seen in the way he does business, where haggling and negotiations will always happen. As one of the older nations, Gupta is also stubborn when it comes to cultural traditions and beliefs; that is part of the reason why he's been able to hold onto them for so many ages.
Tying into his stubborn side, Gupta isn't one for quick or unnecessary change. Other nations have taken to modernization at an alarming rate, but Gupta is perfectly content with the way things currently are. America can keep their hybrid cars, and Japan can keep their... transforming mechas. Egypt has enough technological advances to get by. The friendly guy he is, he will listen to another person's ideals or issues with various topics, but good luck trying to get him to change his own. Give him some time and come back to him. He'll still be here.

The former he believes to be the most direct/honest form of communication - as close to holding a real conversation you can get without meeting in person. The latter is used when he needs to say more where body language can't really help him. Audio is rarely used since he isn't talkative.
