They chose a child actor who wasn't deaf or blind in the revival. What amused me to no end is that the producer said, "I would consider it financially irresponsible to approach a major revival without making a serious effort to get a star."
Yeah, because we all know Star Trek had a lot of big names. Surely 99% of the casting was not made up of unknown stars...oh wait. *eyeroll* Personally, I would only see the play if they really did have a deaf or blind actress, because it's a known play and that would be the only thing that would interest me unless it was a musical.
