OMG me too! I was so happy when I saw Taylor's name on the opening credits. I'm gonna miss this show so much. I love it and all the characters. Except Julie. There hasn't been an episode this season where I haven't wanted to punch Julie in the face. :|
I saw that Zach was in a new show, but now that I've read your review, I think I'll give it a miss. I'm sure it'll be cancelled soon enough anyway.
Man, it was so hard to see Tim so beat down in prison. His scene with Coach was heartbreaking. But I was so proud of him for taking classes and having good behaviour! YOU WILL BE OKAY, TIM RIGGINS.
I hope Zach's show will be cancelled, but I tend to be in the minority when it comes to hating Shonda's style of writing/storytelling, given the success of Grey's and PP. Both shows featuring great casts, but alas, the characters and writing give me such rage blackouts.
I'm darting in and out to avoid spoilers but GODDAMN is Matt Saracen's new show awful. I put myself through the horror of episode two and that was a poor life decision.
OMG I watched it last night (with heavy use of the FF) just to see how bad it was. Dude. Dude! I don't know about you, but my first port of call if an anaconda was squeezing someone to death would be a local with a machete! The doctors would be second on my list! When they showed up and everyone was all, Gee, how should we get the snake off, I was like, UM, KILL THE FUCKING THING?? Did I miss the memo that we just nicely try and sedate anacondas now? CUT OFF ITS HEAD, YOU IDIOTS. (Of course this was before the revelation about how it was holding his guts together, but whatever.)
And Zach having to play the epitome of an overbearing Ugly American is painful. It is so beneath him.
The episode I'm talking about is 510. As I said, S5 is airing on DirecTV. There are three episodes left to air, and then the show is over. Then NBC will air it at some point in the spring and summer. So unless you're watching it on DirecTV right now, yes, you're missing something. But as with S3 and S4, you'll be able to see it eventually on NBC.
I actually once remember an orthopedic surgeon telling me he'd never even seen a case of tennis elbow that actually came from tennis. The show is painfully bad. But Zach's so adorable and charming and...yeah dude needs off that show soon!
I can believe it! Tennis being the cause is likely quite rare.
Man, the show really is terrible. I was just saying above that I watched the second ep last night (with heavy FF) and it's all so asinine and cliche. The whole anaconda thing was ridiculous.
I could not stop laughing!!! I thought it was just so incredibly ludicrous and hilarious. Especially when they announced that the anaconda was actually saving him and that horrid music played. Classically awful!
The rage was in full effect from the very first frame that proclaimed this was "somewhere in South America." Are. You. Kidding. Me.
Trece aside, the most ridiculous language barrier moment for me was "gringo." You will never, ever get me to believe there is a full-grown American who doesn't know that word. Ever.
So far the only character I don't want to smack upside the head is Rachelle Lefevre. I have yet to see any evidence that this is not "Grey's in the jungle," despite cast and creators' protests to the contrary.

As with the last two seasons, DirecTV is airing the final season of FNL before NBC. NBC will air it in the spring or summer, I imagine.

Seriously, the gringo thing was beyond ludicrous. Who doesn't know that word? Aside from cave dwellers.
It's totally Grey's in the jungle. Ugh. But with even more unlikable characters, which is quite a feat.
