Watched 510 of Friday Night Lights last night and was in tears at the end. Oh, Coach. Oh, show. I will miss them all so much! Only three episodes left.
Also, Taylor Kitsch was in TO last week doing press and it delights me that he refers to the show as "FNL" instead of its full name. I don't know why that delights me, but it does. He also talked about how he and Kyle Chandler are both still making their home in Austin even though the show is over. Er, not together although I'm sure they'll have each other for BBQs and cast reunions.
Speaking of FNL cast members, I can only hope Zach Gilford will soon be liberated from that new Shonda Rhimes piece of shit. I watched the pilot, but haven't brought myself to tackle ep 2 yet. The Hawaiian scenery is gorgeous and the actors are appealing (hello, Zach Gilford!), but the typical Shonda cutesy bullshit storytelling and tone is in full effect. Par example:
When Zach's character -- who is a DOCTOR -- asks a kid how old he is, he cannot figure out that trece means 13. I mean, really? DOCTOR? (Generally speaking they're quite intelligent people!) First off, the kid looks about, oh, 13. The "tr" sound in trece also is similar to the number in English. But gosh, look at those cultural barriers our intrepid Americans will have to overcome!
Then, Mammie Gummer's character has to express disbelief that one of her patients has tennis elbow, because my goodness, where would these jungle dwellers be playing tennis? Again, DOCTOR, shocking as this may be, "tennis elbow" doesn't actually always arise from literally playing tennis.
*headdesk*
let me tell you how i really feel,
