Friday Night Lights continues to be amazing. Oh, my heart.

As much as I'm going to miss Matt, I thought it was a really nice, low-key goodbye. After the intense emotion of last week, it was good to see Matt recovering. I guessed a while ago his mom would stay with Grandma, and since Zach will be back twice later in the season, I assume Matt will visit. Oh man, his goodbye with Julie in the car where they both know he's going, but haven't actually said it out loud, was just so sweet and sad. His "I love you" and her "I love you, Matty" made me cry. I want them to be together in the end! Matt would be the best son-in-law ever.

This was quite the ep for goodbyes. Tim's farewell to Lyla at the bus depot also made me cry. They love each other so much, but they want different lives. No way Lyla would be happy doing the books for Riggins' Rigs (or whatever that business is called). I'm glad they brought Lyla back to give that closure to the storyline.

I'm still not loving Becky. I don't dislike her, but I'm not feeling her the way I am Luke. I loooooooved Luke and Vince watching the game tape in Sears, and the gay coach kicking out J.D. and his cronies. I feel compelled to note once again for the record that I'm still disappointed in what little they've done with J.D. this season. I love Jeremy Sumpter and they'd better give J.D. some depth again very soon.

Tami giving Landry the gears was awesome. Hee. I could totally understand where Tami was coming from, but I'm glad she didn't go to Austin. I also loved the way she couldn't stay mad when she realized Julie was truly upset and not just putting on the waterworks to get out of punishment. It's going to be really interesting to see what they do with Julie in S5, since I presume she'll be away at college if they continue the jumps ahead each season.

My OTP queenofthorns very generously bought me Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games. I reread HG first, and yesterday I finished CF after stretching it out for a week because I didn't want it to end! Please tell me the next book is coming out in 2010? Want it now!! ETA: August 2010!

I knew the head Gamemaker was in on the revolution (Katniss really isn't a thinker, is she?) and figured there was a plot involving some of the other victors. Eeeee, I can't wait for the battle to come in the next book! The mysterious District 13 will be a very interesting place to visit.

I'm so torn about Peeta and Gale. At the end of the day, I do want Katniss with Gale, but I love Peeta so much. I find both of those relationships compelling, although Katniss is a bit too wishy-washy about them sometimes. After she put herself in Gale's shoes and imagined he was the victor pretending to marry another girl, and kissed him when he was hurt and realized he's the one in her heart, it seemed like the decision was made. And then the next day she's hoping he doesn't remember the kiss because things will be easier. I understand she's young and there's a lot going on, but... As wonderful as Peeta is, I tend to think if it came down to it, Gale's the one she wants to be with.

I could see Peeta with Madge, though. Assuming she got out of 12 before it was destroyed. I also really like Finnick and I hope he can save Annie. I'm envisioning him and Katniss going to save Annie and Peeta. Also, I hope the two red-head Avoxs are going to make it. I'm assuming they'll figure into it somehow.

I don't have a lot of deep thoughts, but I'm enjoying this series so much. I'm regretting reading it before it's finished, though. I hate waiting!
