Successful bitches

Ok, so I didnt quite live out to my promise of updating my journal regularly...but really, when you are not sure you even have like 5 people reading your journal, the motivation just isn't there...ha... anyways, so I caved and bought a new laptop after my freaking iMac died on me...I need to revive it somehow to get all my documents out of the hard drive...though that's probably not gonna happen till about 5 years later cos its such a hassle luging that damn white elephant down to the iMac shop and having them take ur computer apart and snigger when they find your porn...

Anyways, so I have a problem with Bill Gates. I think Microsoft still thinks Singapore is a province in China, cos in the set-up if you select Singapore as the country of origin, some of the displays turn up in Chinese!! And if its in Chinese, and I can't bloody read the language, its close to impossible changing the language option back to English...like seriously...its not funny!!! So I'm actually typing this journal entry in English, but everything shows up in Chinese, I'm just trusting that they get the grammar right at least...ha...it took me bloody 15 minutes tinkering around to get everything back in English...got quite a scare there...thought I might have to buy a new laptop or get Chinese lessons...

I was watching E! Entertainment last night and they had a special on Anna Kournikova. Yes I switched my cable box to digital, so now I get all the cool channels..no more "Police and Thief" on Channel 5 for me! hooray! Basically, the premise of the show is, if you want to be successful in life, you gotta be a bitch. I wouldn't go that far, but I think it true to some extent...life is not a popularity contest, so our obsession to please others all the time has to stop somewhere. Doesn't mean you go out and step on every single toe you see, or burn every freakng bridge, but maybe for once, focus on what you really want and go get it, even if you offend people along the way. And from experience, most people who have an issue with you, have an issue with themselves to begin with, so why let someone else's issues, get in the way of your own goals...oh btw, the special on Anna talked about hard work and discipline as well...but that's not the important bit. ;)

ok...think my entry's long enough...will stop here....so my motto for the upcoming new week: Compliment me...call me a B.I.T.C.H. Thank you.
