Yay, it's the good Rusty!
I always end up missing the Sarah Jane Adventures, and with iPlayer there really is no excuse for it. It's awesome! It's got that great old school, not the best budget Who feel to it, just on speed with plots that last 25 minutes, or 50 for two parters.
Ah, an alien planet that is a quarry with a camera filter, awesome!
And it's good to see that Russel T Davis realized he might have gone a tad overboard with the "companions lives are worthless without the Doctor" thing, with Jo of all people having a pretty awesome life traveling the world, having babies but still protesting and doing good. And the mention of the others too! I bet Ace's organization involves harnessing the powers of explosions for good instead of evil. And he made Ian/Barbara canon!
But UNIT really needs to look into their hiring practices.
