Yeah the what-are-the-companions-doing-now bit was brilliant. Especially Ian/Barbara! Though it was a bit too much of an RTD impression that they all needed the doctor to achieve their true potential. When in fact the old companions were just cool in their own right, and didn't have this modern day companion clingy-ness.
Yay quarries! On Doctor Who they spend far too much effort trying to hide the face that they are in a quarry.
Yep, couldn't have a Rusty ep without Doctor worship, but at least the time limit meant he couldn't go overboard in it. Even though stating that Ten's Longest Death Ever! involved all the companions was both a moment of aww and really now?
That's true. I mean I love him because he's such a fan so I really shouldn't complain because he loves the doctor too much! But yes thankfully there was no longest goodbye this time! I liked that you didn't even see his goodbye with Sarah Jane this time. But just his hug with Jo and then them coming out of the tardis.
