Unfortunate news

Our housemate, who is also our landlady, just told us that she's come to the conclusion that she has to sell the house, and soon. Just too expensive to keep it. In fact, she really shouldn't have kept it as long as she did.
I really love this house. It has a wonderful red room where my plants and instruments live, and a yard for gardening and a craft room in the basement. It has a kitchen that is full of light, and a dining room good for holding meetings. It has a generous driveway where bratling can keep his motorcycles. It has a skylight in the bathroom. It has enough rooms for us to have an office that can double as a secondary bedroom. It's big enough for the cats to have plenty of room to run.
I knew since we moved in here that I shouldn't get too attached to this house. But at the same time, it was seeming like such a stable arrangement, such a pleasant situation for everyone involved. So I let myself settle in.
Now I have a couple of months to settle back out. Knowing that we won't be able to afford anything even close to this nice, and we'll probably have to go a good ways out of the city to be able to afford anything at all.
Ouch.
