As reported earlier, Lori and I went to the
Inn at Little Washington last Thursday. It was absolutely fantastic! It's an experience that I think everyone should experience once in their lifetime. Crazy expensive, but worth every penny. It's the closest I'll ever get to living like royalty. The rest of the weekend was spent on decidedly more mundane matters (although mostly still pleasant).
Friday we went out and looked at goats. We're planning on purchasing a couple of goats in the near future to go along with our current flock of ducks and chickens. We're getting
San Clemente goats for those who care. They're a nice size and very friendly. We ordered fencing and other supplies to house the goats while we were out.
Saturday we picked up the boys from Grandma's. They stayed there for two nights while we were at the Inn. Saturday night we went to the
Comedy Spot in Ballston to celebrate Jen's 30th birthday. It was a decidedly amateurish affair, but Jen seemed to enjoy it. Afterwards we all went to the Melting Pot for dessert.
Sunday we took the boys to a birthday party then back to the temple for the Purim carnival. Then it was back home for a visit from Lori's aunt and uncle. We went to dinner that night at Guiseppe's in Haymarket.
Altogether a very busy four days. It would've been nice to have more time to ease back into our usual overloaded schedule after the trip to the Inn, but we at least had 24 hours to truly relax.
