Hiya all! Long time no talk! I just got back from home a three-day roadtrip to Boston with my uni friends. It was fun and we had a really nice time, though there were moments where I wanted to *kill* one of my friends and obviously, five girls sharing one bathroom = drama!
Boston was beautiful. All colonial style, blue skies, red bricks, yellow fall foliage and green grass. Seriously, every shot was like straight out of a New England photo album. To top it all off, the weather was fantastic (so much warmer than in Montreal!), the entire city was incredibly CLEAN and the people were so nice! (We did get a few strange looks for our raucous gabbing in Franglais, but even then, people would at most politely ask us where we came from.)
We stayed at the
Cambridge Marriott, which had excellent vistas and a great location. Day 1 was spent following the Freedom Trail downtown and strolling around Quincy Market, Day 2 was all about HARVARD (such a picturesque campus, OMG!) and Day 3 was a mix of sightseeing, shopping and museum-visiting. ♥
The drive back was not so great though, because our GPS got confuzzled, we got semi-lost somewhere near the border AND we found out that it is freakin' SNOWING in Quebec. *pouts* To make it even worse, my mild backache from the last couple of days became full-fledged back pains this morning. I've been popping painkillers and wincing every time I lean/sit down/get up/go down the stairs/MOVE. We think that it might be a slipped disk or something similar (it doesn't feel like muscle aches), but whatever it is, a seven-hour drive did NOT do it good.
So I think that I'll just tuck in with one of my souvenir Harvard shirts and watch the newest bromantastic episode of Merlin for tonight. I'm probably missing out on a million awesome Halloween parties at the moment, but: a) I don't have any costume; b) it's cold and snowing and windy outside; and c) partying is a whole less fun when you can barely move!
Hope that you're all well.
