Sunshine and strange orange materials

Tomorrow is McGill's Study Abroad Fair, and they're asking us exchange students to go and advertise our universities.

So I'm going to be spending two hours tomorrow telling people how wonderful UQ and Brisbane are, and that they should all come over to the sunny side and be happy.

This shall be interesting.

Any particular ideas of what I should tell them? What I should not tell them? Should I avoid all mention of the D-word*?

Speaking of Brisbane, this cracks me up. Seriously.

By the way, I changed my journal's layout, and tried out the new customise journal beta. It's mostly pretty good. The new customise page, I mean, not my journal's layout. Though I do like it. It matches my pathetic excuse for a website. That picture in the header there? That's from a wallpaper I drew myself a couple of years ago. I still love it, even though I've only recently realised that although I took care to shade the tower as nicely as I could, it doesn't actually cast a shadow. I knew all along that the hills were flat, but I totally missed the tower-shadow thing. Oh, well. It's still my favourite wallpaper.

* As I realise that's not a very obvious reference, I will tell you that I'm referring to the drought.

exchange, uni, funniness
