In the past two days, in between working on my thesis, I have:

• Finished and submitted an algorithms assignment.
  
• Gone to a lecture on approximating a solution to the Travelling Salesman problem.
  
• Gone to a lecture revising the properties of predicate logic systems (consistency, completeness etc.).
  
• Finished a web mining assignment.

The first two weeks of uni are going pretty well. It took until Tuesday afternoon to get my timetable all finalised, but things are all good now. I have no classes Mondays and Wednesdays, which is nice. It looks like my three linguistics courses will be tremendous fun, though they'll have constant work for me to do. Finalising my courses for this semester has been unbelievably complicated.

I handed in my last small assignment today. Three big ones to go (two next week, one two weeks later), three proper exams, and one take-home exam to go. One week of classes, one week of swotvac, and just over one week of exams. Then it's holidays! It's definitely been an interesting few weeks. I caught a nasty cold from my mother last week - totally lost my voice on Sunday, couldn't talk at all until Tuesday, only just now feeling roughly normal. I did absolutely nothing for several days.
