Smooch Zeta Babydoll Dress in Plum
I fell in love with this dress more than I thought I would. It caught my eye initially with its unique cutting; for someone who is constantly so conscious of my fat tummy, I thought this cutting was a perfect solution. The only fear I had was that it will make me look preggers but nope, not at all! The material is heavy with inner lining, but comes with a Korean label attached. The slanted cut where the dress flares from upper waist at the front and lower waist at the back (if it even makes any sense, I'm horrible at flowery descriptions, sorry!) allows the dress to hide the tum tum yet flattering the curves at one's back. Overall, it was a really good buy and has since become my default dress when I have nothing to wear :) My friend, however is letting her brand new piece go (size S), so do lmk if you're keen!
Sadie Heather Playsuit in Black
After my previous purchase with Sadie and loving how flattering and adorable that romper was, I went ahead and bought my 2nd romper with them. Only to be disappointed this time round - the cutting sucks. First up, the bust area was way too low.. there is just no way I could wear this romper without having my bra exposed. It was as though this romper was meant for droopy boobs; even without wearing a bra, it barely covered the top half of my boobs. And when I tried to protect my modesty by pulling the romper higher to cover my bra, I realize a second problem... the rise is too high it felt like I had a constant wedgie on my privates! A tad too graphic but that was just how frustrating it was.. a lose-lose situation no matter what. Maybe I am too anal or happened to be too ill-fitted for XS, I don't know but I am definitely letting it go. Only wore it to take this ootd, tags still intact. I reckon it will be a much better fit if you are a small uk6 or below, so do leave your email if you're interested.
