Old habits (and cold stiff joints) woke Berwald in conjunction with the sunrise. He had slept better, the floor was hard and cold, but Nukka was curled up on him for warmth and snoring... like an old man. "Good morning Peikko." She smiled as she continued her puttering. Like every old person, she couldn't sit down. She'd think she was ready to, but of course she would have forgotten something at the counter, or in a drawer. ... All this business just to have a cup of coffee and get at a grapefruit!

Finally once she had collected the cup of coffee, the creamer, the sugar, the grapefruit, the spoon and a warm moist rag (BECAUSE THAT GRAPE FRUIT WAS GOING TO BE PISSING ALL OVER HALF THIS KITCHEN BY THE TIME SHE WAS DONE WITH IT!!!)

"Your wife still all curled up in a ball with the dog-baby?" She asked, stabbing spoon into the grapefruit half after sprinkling sugar on it.

Berwald was taken a-back for a moment when even Mummi was calling Tino his "wife".

"I left him with both dogs fast asleep. I'm always up with the sun and the floor was hard on my leg a bit last night so I'm not surprised I woke up on schedule even with jet lag." Berwald sad standing.

"May I have some coffee?" He asked politely walking toward the pot waiting for permission.

"Sure coffee's over th- ... Floor?" She asked.

"How come you slept on the floor?" She had paused with the spoon sticking straight up out of her grapefruit and her multicolored hat sitting cockeyed on her head.

Berwald chuckled as he searched for a mug. "Because I'm a freak show of too tall and too heavy. I didn't fit. Especially once you added, Tino and two dogs. Once I was in it, poor Tino was on an incline halfway up in the air and rolling downhill. It was just easier to move to the floor, it was better than both of us being uncomfortable. I've slept worse. It's no big deal." Berwald said finding a mug and pouring himself a cup and then joining Mummi at the table.

Tino didn't give Berwald a chance to GET into the upstairs. He met Berwald at the top of the stairs and once the Swede was at eye level with him Tino leaned forward and captured his Jotunn's lips. Their good morning kiss had been rather chaste seeing as Mummi had been in the room. He didn't want to be regulated to nothing but virginal pecks until they returned to the island

"You know I feel bad knowing you slept badly because of me. But yes, I'm due too." Berwald said soaking in Tino's affection better than any pill he could take.

"That and well I guess I'm a bit grumpy from the cold, you know me and cold. I get pissy and moody." Berwald added allowing Tino to draw him upstairs.

"I didn't sleep bad because of you, it was because of the bed keeping me from you and your warmth, blame the bed." He cooed, taking Berwald's hand and holding it as they went down the hall and towards the drop down steps for the loft bedroom.

"And we'll take care of getting you something warm today so you can be comfortable. Mummi and Aiti can help you for sure finding warm clothes. I wanna do some more Christmas shopping with Isi then. I haven't gotten enough presents for Hana. I wanna spoil our little girl. And you too. I feel like I wanna get you so many things for Christmas." He added as he was fidgeting with the belt of Berwald's robe.

"You have no idea how much I plan to spoil you for Christmas." Berwald said tugging Tino closer inside his robe so he could cover them both like a cocoon of comfort and warmth. "We definitively have to find a bed that does not creak. If I have to go three weeks without loving you I might just implode. It's only been two nights and I'm already having withdrawal symptoms. You're such a potent drug and I am addicted."

"That's okay, we'll know exactly which ones came from you." Mummi teased. It would stand to reason that Berwald wouldn't be able to wrap well, he hadn't given anyone a wrapped present in years if he'd ever had to wrap one at all.

Tino of course spotted Berwald towering over the other people in the food court and waved to him and held up a plastic shopping bag excitedly. When they'd finally gotten close enough Tino gushed to his boyfriend. "We're spoiling the dogs rotten this year. That store had the cutest toys ever for Hana and even toys for Nukka too." He smiled, showing off the toys and even the harness they'd gotten for Hana that looked similar to a little pink sundress.

Berwald looked at the bag full of Pink and grinned. "I've corrupted you. I knew I'd convert you to the Cute Side my padawan learner." Berwald joked as he scanned the food court and Berwald gravitated toward Hesberger's which looked like a Finnish version of an American burger joint... Even Berwald was hard pressed to finish the sandwich he was served:

The food came in such huge servings. Tino sometimes wondered if Hesberger was taking serving size advice from American eateries.

Tino and Mummi ended up ordering one sandwich and splitting it in half between themselves. "Yes, you've corrupted me. Though I still stand by my assessment of the pink carrier." He smiled, licking a dab of mayo off his thumb. "I don't know if you can ever change my opinion of that. And for the record, the dress if for cute times and picture taking times. Her and me are still going to have tom-boy times. We're going to be your two mud monsters." He chortled.

"Yes, but you bought PINK... you're seeing the value of cute." Berwald laughed getting up to throw their trash away. "All that is left are pillows and bedding and we can head home." Berwald said as everyone headed toward a linen store.

"Well, with how damaged it was when we met I'm glad that even being passive I can boost it. It breaks my heart still to think that you created an entirely different name for yourself so you could love me. You were so scared that I couldn't like you that you hid yourself behind Jotunn. That somehow you'd gotten into that self hate slump. Don't ever think bad things like that about yourself again. Now come on Jotunn, let's go to bed." He smiled, setting his mug down on the sink and rising out of the now room temp water in order to dry off.

"You always trembled in front of me. I hated that I scared you, it was the only way I could think of to do nice things for you." Berwald said admiring the view as Tino stood and stepped from the tub to dry off.

"I'm so glad those days are over, you're a dream come true. Now I make you tremble other more fun ways." Berwald winked as he headed into the bedroom to turn down the bed and slip into their brand new bed. One he actually fit in, was comfortable and would soon also be occupied by an angel.

"I was afraid you'd yell at me. I didn't know that you didn't care about that project. How was I supposed to know that when you were boring holes through my head with your eyes that it was out of affection when you always had this expression on?" He asked, mimicking Berwald's intense stare... which certainly did look more ominous on Tino's cute face.

"Now it's anticipation that makes me tremble." He laughed, wiping the expression off as he just pulled on a pair of boxers and a t-shirt. He was going to be warm enough. He climbed in next to Berwald but didn't lay down right away, he laid down with his top half draped over Berwald's torso and his chin resting gently on the giant's collar bone. "I like it when you stare at me now. It's not so creepy."

"It was your over-active imagination thinking I was mad. I can't help staring at you... You captivate me, truly. I can't keep my eyes off you." Berwald said wrapping arms around Tino.

"I have trouble keeping my hands off you too for that matter. Now get in here and cuddle with me already."
