It wasn't that exciting, but it was relaxing!

• getting confused on the way to Vilas Zoo because there's some road construction nearby. The ominous signs made me think it wasn't passable.
• On Saturday, getting to the zoo as it closed. Reading outside by Lake Wingra in Vilas Park while listening to the lion roar.

I was tremendously excited this year to have the opportunity to grow things outside on our back deck. After growing up with a large vegetable garden--which we don't have at the family home in Madison due to our shady backyard--I really missed getting my hands in the dirt.
