Because I know that everyone has been waiting with bated breath (I'm being sarcastic), I'm pleased to announce that we have had 2 ripe cherry tomatoes and one more that's nearly there. I was tremendously excited this year to have the opportunity to grow things outside on our back deck. After growing up with a large vegetable garden--which we don't have at the family home in Madison due to our shady backyard--I really missed getting my hands in the dirt.
