Yep I am posting again.
Todays topic will be Poi.
For the first time in well over a year I have poi'ed. If you don't know what that is check out www.homeofpoi.com.
I was suprised to see my hands remembered much more of the moves than I had thought they would. I got hit in the end a couple of times, and may have some bruises on my calves, thighs and hips but it was great! My arms now feel like they will drop off but I'm fighting the urge to go back outside.
Have found I can't do take outs on the butterfly when they are going up, and that my alternate hip reels to the left suck. Took a while to get my backwards poi turns working (thats where I got the majority of the hits) but it was sooo good to poi again. The wind was blowing like mad and giles was trying to chase them. Thankfully he had the sense to know not to chase them when they are spinning quickly, but he went after them as soon as the slowed. I really hope i can get several more rain free days to get poi-ing. We have some paving in the back so I should be able to fire poi come winter. That would be great.
Unfortunatly my fire poi are deceased. They were kept outside at the old house in the shed. And it leaked. The chains are all rusted now. Will look at getting more chains before christmas tho :-D
*bounce*, now I wanna poi regularly. I need someone to teach.
In other news the dr gave me more sleeping pills and diaz. I have been an absolute zombie these last couple mornings. I hope my body starts to adjust a bit more. Otherwise it may not be much better than not sleeping at all. Have changed to working Tuesdays now (taking a sleeping pill at 1am and then trying to get up for 8:30 just doesnt work). Think thats all.
