Just what I didn't need

There's nothing to do at work, not even individual self-initiated projects. Have been hanging around since 10 and am now waiting for the UPS guy to come for the packet, so stuck here for now. Bored out of my mind, all caught up on most of the internet stuff.

Feeling kinda mopey too.

I tried looking for a movie I half-watched yars ago, when I was around...oh, say 10? I remember the scenes perfectly but have no idea what it's called. Needless to say, fidning it is going to be a real bitch.

The bits I remember are as follows:

There's this lone hominid walking alone in a hot african savanna. He steals and greedily sucks an ostrich egg. Soemtimes later at night, he comes across a band of people like him, brutally murdered by hominids who can use tools such as axes.

Not a whole lot to go on. Reading every single movie title released between 1980 and 1993 isn't the way to go, either.

I remember the TV magazine we'd get in Toronto, or maybe Montreal, had a column where you could write, offer up the few clues you had about a movie, and teh guy would help you find out what it was. Unfortunately, the hominid was no Brad Pitt and dating this is damn hard.

There can't be that many hominid movies about, though.

Bantha poodoo.
