In the news! In videos! In pictures! For you!

A lot of things, a lot of things happening.

Let's see...Austin Secrets has been selling out online before the box office even opens and the shows are going quite well.
We got a super positive, good review in the Austin Chronicle: http://www.austinchronicle.com/gyrobase/Issue/review?oid=oid:1134942
We have a spot playing on KUT's Arts Eclectic: http://kut.org/items/show/23769
And last Thursday Roy and I were on KEYE's Austin Live talking about the show: http://weareaustin.com/austinlive-story/?nxd_id=115976&shr=addthis

Some more possible paid improv trip opportunities have popped up. PGraph may be traveling to Winter Park, FL (by Orlando) to perform and teach workshops at Rollins college (one of the professors saw Roy and I's Some Like it Improvised show in September).
I also heard word from Jeremy Lamb that the Sarasota Improv Festival wants to have the Available Cupholders back and the Florida Studio Theater wants to host us for an additional week after the festival so we can perform in more shows and teach workshops.
This year just keeps filling up, and January isn't even over with yet.

I have a few exciting art commission opportunities popping up too, but I don't want to talk about those until they are more firmed up.

Oh! I have improv videos to share with you!

Last Thursday Curtis and I performed our Fitzgeralds For Hire show in the FronteraFest short fringe. We were the last act of the night, and the audience looked a little tired at first, but I think we really brought them around and had an AWESOME show. Super fun and we didn't have to scramble too much to make it under 25 min (our Hideout shows had gone on longer than 25 min every time).

Roy filmed the show from his seat, but he managed to capture all the action. Family, you should watch this video. Um, it's kinda dirty in some parts, but that really shouldn't be a problem. :)

Then on Saturday Curtis and I had another show, a free 6pm show with the sole purpose of taping it. Since the Thursday show went well, we decided to just do our more organic and open-ended format.

Roy taped this on a tripod from his seat. It's a little bit dark but the action is nicely followed and the picture is clear (woohoo Southwest airlines camera!). There was a packed house for this show and we were really happy with how it went.

I'd *love* to do some festivals with Curtis, especially with the Fitzgeralds show. It would be so much fun to bring a duo show like that to the larger improv community. I just don't know how we'd make it work. I know Curtis is really busy and probably is more limited with his free time these days. And I've already got 75+ days that I'm going to be away from Austin working/performing this year. Still. I want to make it work. Ugh. I want too much, I think. Can't do it all, Kaci!

Michael Yew took this photo of our PGraph show on Friday night. I like it!
We've been having a great time with our organic narratives lately, and we've also been slowly but surely ramping up to our 'Reverend Goodman's Cure-All Elixir Traveling Revue' show. It's hard these days to focus in, we're also constantly working on programming for the Hideout.

So yeah, things are chugging along. Speaking of which, I need to head to a Noir movie night RIGHT NOW in prep for Violet Underbelly, the show Kareem's directing in March and April.
