Do not assume that "everyone knows" how to be kind, or how to show love. NO. That assumes one right way for all people. So true, and on levels that one doesn't think of right away - for instance, the cleaning part. I absolutely loathe when others clean my space without getting the 'ok' from me first - it does really feel like an intrusion/invasion.
