I thought was getting away with something, given that with the deathmarch halt, the weekend was light and the primary crew would

Due to issues, the deathmarch is on pause and I end up not having to work this weekend. Freedom!
I've actually mapped out things to do, places to go. It's like a normal life...

Movies, food, beer, shopping but most importantly: no work. Updates to follow.

The first half of the Lpar migration is done. Not pretty with some weird stuff that we fought through to make it happen.
Sixteen-hour day for me yesterday with a ninety-minute session of phone and emailing reports this morning.
Others suffered as well, so no complaints about effort.

A fine day off-featuring cool weather, German food and beer. Summer is going to break soon and I’m ready for the brain cycles
that are dedicated to survival mode to be returned to the general pool so I can enjoy other pursuits.

One call at 0300 but it was between sleep cycles so I slept as normal people do.

The wake-up call came at 0720 regarding slow copy of storage from Dallas to Dixie and I’ve been working the phone on and off all day since.

Still recovering from the deathmarch and funeral. The pace at work is slower and I've started back at the gym. Two more weeks and I should be rebalanced. I might travel in July to InfiddlevestCorp's New England datacenter. Good, the beer cellar needs restocking. Time for some Smuttynose.

The march ends but not until a conference call tomorrow at 04:00am with the business units giving their buy-off. It's a freaking go, you babies.

There's clean-up but it can wait. Time to get my life back.

We finished preparation, late Thursday night. No additional work needed today.  I worked from home by sleeping in, taking a long lunch and did the bare minimum for a workday. Plus a lunchtime visit to the liquor store to re-supply the arsenal.
