I've been waiting since I sat through Heroes' and Torchwood's second seasons to have the feeling someone else's sophomore season was a thoroughly depressing let down after what seemed like a first season bright with promise. Thanks (((((Kadira))))). It's good to hear I wasn't alone in my reaction to second season.
There were bits that I loved, like the relationship development between Connor and Abby...
I like Connor and Abby, but I had a hard time enjoying the change in their relationship because it wasn't a natural progression from where they were first season it was one of the "jumps" with the time-line change.
I don't really hate Jenny, but I loved Claudia and Jenny left me very cold.
Yeah, I don't hate Jenny. There were some "Jenny moments" that amused me, like wondering just how long it would take her to go into the worm infested building, and her demonstrating her ability to handle a gun in the season 2 finale. It is just that I really loved Claudia, and Jenny mostly leaves me cold.
I'm also very much in denial about Stephen and hope that Helen will die a very slow and painful death in the next season.
I agree on both counts. I'm a bit worried, having given some thought to all the versions of the same individual Helen came to Stephen's funeral with, that we'll be given an alternate Stephen as a substitute for the Stephen they murdered and/or we'll see one Helen painfully dead just to be replaced with another version of Helen. I'm not sure how they'll abuse the series' time-line more, but I expect they will abuse it more.
