Spain-ward ho!
Well, we're heading off to Spain soon! :) Tomorrow, anyhow. I'm not going to give TOO many details, because there still may be serial killers stalking this journal as anonymous lurkers... And hey, a message to you: I'm travelling with two karate experts, one of whom is a blackbelt (and not the one you'd expect just from looking at him), as well as two awesome ladies. I'm pretty secure, so don't you try anything, theoretical attackers!
I think that I've packed everything necessary. I've got swimsuits (oh, towels! I must get those...), iPod, camera, reading materials (a paperback copy of the Hobbit and a brand-spanking new eReader loaded with some books in the 1632 series), clothing, contact lenses... I've got enough fresh underwear, a few nicer outfits in case we go out to a fancy dinner... I think that I have everything. I'm also with my parents, so as long as I remember my passport, my camera, and my iPod (for internet access), everything else can be acquired when we get there, right? Right.
I spent much of today shopping at West Edmonton Mall for bits and bobs - new socks, a few extra undershirts... I stumbled upon a really nice windbreaker/water resistant jacket which is very slimming. I'm very pleased at that acquisition. :) I spent a little bit more money than I'd been intending to, but in my mind these socks and other things will last me a long time, far beyond this trip (provided my suitcase doesn't get lost), so... they're investments?
Anyway, expect short but succinct and hopefully entertaining updates from Spain in these coming weeks! :) I hope to see shamanessa_wolf while I'm over there, too. :D
